Onboarding & Access
Access to ecosystems in Afyniti is structured to keep participation clear, fair, and manageable as the platform grows.
Each city has its own onboarding flow, designed to introduce you to the ecosystem before opening up its quests and progression paths.
Joining an Ecosystem
When you enter an ecosystem for the first time, you go through an onboarding process specific to that city.
Onboarding introduces:
The city’s theme and structure
How quests are organised within the ecosystem
Any requirements needed before participation begins
Completing onboarding is required before quests in that ecosystem become available.
Minting and Entry Limits
Some ecosystems operate with a mint or participation capacity.
If capacity is available, onboarding concludes with a mint that anchors your participation in that ecosystem. Once minted, you can begin completing quests and earning progression within that city.
If capacity has been reached, onboarding is temporarily paused and access is managed through a waitlist.
Capacity limits exist to ensure ecosystems remain stable and progression remains meaningful.
Waitlists
When an ecosystem reaches capacity, new participants are directed to a waitlist.
While on the waitlist, you may be able to complete limited actions that influence your position in the queue. These actions do not guarantee access but may improve priority if capacity becomes available.
Waitlists are ecosystem-specific. Being active in one ecosystem does not automatically grant access to another.
Allow Lists
Some ecosystems support allow lists.
Allow lists are used to prioritise existing community members or specific groups during onboarding. Being on an allow list enables onboarding while capacity is available, but it does not bypass onboarding steps entirely.
Allow list eligibility is determined by the ecosystem.
First-Time Entry to New Cities
When travelling to a city you have not visited before, onboarding applies even if you are already active elsewhere in Afyniti.
This ensures each ecosystem can present its own context, rules, and structure without assuming prior knowledge.
Your overall progression remains intact, but access to quests within that city is gated until onboarding is completed.
Why Access Is Structured This Way
Onboarding and access controls exist to support clarity and continuity.
They help:
Prevent overcrowding and confusion
Maintain progression balance
Ensure each ecosystem can present a coherent experience
Rather than removing access entirely, these systems guide entry in a controlled and transparent way.
