Afyniti is designed to operate as a long-term platform rather than a short-lived campaign.
To support this, the platform uses a defined structure for how ecosystems participate, how features are made available, and how ongoing development and maintenance are funded. These systems exist in the background and do not change how progression, quests, or access work for you.
How Afyniti Is Sustained
Afyniti is not funded by user progression or by reducing earned rewards.
Instead, the platform is sustained through participation by ecosystems and protocols that choose to operate within the Afyniti world. These contributions support infrastructure, moderation, development, and ongoing feature updates.
Your progression, XP, and access to quests are not purchased and cannot be accelerated through payment.
Ecosystem Participation
Ecosystems that appear as cities in Afyniti operate within a defined seasonal structure.
Each ecosystem decides how it participates, including:
Whether it offers prize pools
Which protocols are available within its city
How onboarding and access are handled
These choices shape the structure of the city but do not alter the underlying progression rules of the platform.
Protocol Participation
Protocols that appear as locations within cities operate independently.
Each protocol decides:
Which quests are available
How often quests refresh
Whether protocol-specific rewards are offered
Participation by protocols does not affect the fairness or balance of XP across the platform. All quests follow the same progression rules regardless of where they appear.
Platform Fees and Separation from Progression
Any fees that support the platform are handled separately from progression systems.
XP, levels, and access to quests are not influenced by fees, purchases, or external contributions. Progression remains tied only to completed quests and claimed activity.
This separation exists to ensure that progression reflects participation rather than spending.
Optional Services and Features
Some ecosystems and protocols may choose to use additional services or features when operating within Afyniti.
These options relate to setup, management, or presentation and do not provide mechanical advantages within progression, quests, or rewards.
Whether or not optional services are used has no impact on how you earn XP or move through the world.
