Meditist Lite
Manufacturer: MediTec Classification: Restricted Cognitive Interface Authorized Users: High-Rank Weavers only
Overview
The Meditist Lite is not a tool in the conventional sense. It is a sanctioned breach point between cognition and the Weave.
Developed by MediTec during the early containment years of Echo Sickness research, the Meditist Lite was initially conceived as a controlled adjunct to the Echo Buffer program. Where the Echo Buffer suppresses and stabilizes, the Meditist Lite permits access.
Only those who have proven structural coherence within the Weave are permitted to use it.

Function
The Meditist Lite delivers a calibrated aerosol compound containing Weave-derived nano-constructs suspended in a volatile carrier medium. Upon inhalation:
The constructs temporarily amplify the user’s cognitive resonance with nearby Weave layers
Neural noise is dampened, allowing the mind to align with higher-order Weave patterns
Perceptual time dilates, producing trance-like states often described as “standing between threads”
Unlike psychoactive substances of the pre-Weave era, the Meditist Lite does not distort perception. It removes interference.
Cultural Significance
Ancient cultures once used smoke, spores, and ritual poisons to “speak with gods.” The Weavers learned to do the same, but with precision.
Within the city, the Meditist Lite is regarded as:
A rite of elevation for senior Weavers
A dangerous temptation for the uninitiated
Proof that the Weave does not merely surround the city, but listens
Unauthorized use is known to result in permanent dissociation, uncontrolled Echo generation, or total loss of physical anchoring. This does not prevent misuse.
